Frequently Asked Questions

If Signature Aviation stops working with ICE, can't it just use another "fixed base operator"?

While some airports have multiple fixed base operators, some do not.  If Signature Aviation stops helping ICE, some airports will be off limits to ICE.  Furthermore, Signature is by far the largest fixed base operator in the country.  If we can stop them from cooperating, it will be easier to pressure the smaller companies to do the same.

What if the letter writing campaign doesn't work?

We have mapped out a strategy of escalating public pressure targeted towards Cascade Investment, BlackRock and Blackstone.  This will include in-person demonstrations as well as encouraging states to divest public pension funds from BlackRock and Blackstone.  If this becomes necessary we will post details on this website.  Sign up for updates on the homepage to receive email notifications.

Why not target Signature Aviation directly?

Signature Aviation has been providing fuel and logistical support to ICE for many years and its CEO has a relatively small public profile.  We suspect that publicly tying Bill Gates, The Gates Foundation and various BlackRock/Blackstone executives to mass deportation may prove more effective.

Won't ICE just use military planes?

ICE has used military planes in the past but dramatically reduced this practice due to cost.  As reported by the El Paso Times, transporting a detainee on a military plane costs three times more than on a private charter aircraft.  If ICE were forced to use military aircraft for all its operations the effect on its budget would be substantial.
